Microsoft Windows
- Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000, Windows XP

1. I have downloaded and installed the software, but I am still unable to open my bill.

Please try the following steps:

1. Go to 'My Computer'

2. At the top of the page go to 'Tools' and then click on the 'Folder Options' tab

3. Click on the 'File Types' tab

4. Scroll down the list and locate the .EFA file type and click on it so that it is highlighted.

5. If it does not say - opens with ecrypt with our blue diamond block and the picture of the white lock in it under details for EFA file extension, then you need to click on the 'Change' button on the right.

6. In the new program list now select ecrypt.

7. Just to make sure please also check that .HTML files open with Internet explorer or the browser of your choice.


2. I am unable to download software, as my company will not allow me to do so.

We can send your bill in a PDF format that only requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to open and no additional software to download and install, please let us know if this is preferred as we can switch you over for the next month's bill run. Please email us at: customercare@vodacom.co.za

1. My Computer keeps asking me if I am an administrator and I can't run the software.

Please go to: http://www.emc.co.za/vodacom/. You need to download the encryption software (Ecrypt) and save it to your desktop. Right click on the downloaded file and choose to run as administrator. Ecrypt should now install and you will be able to open your bill.

2. I have downloaded and installed the software, but I am still unable to open my bill.

You need to save the attachment that came from Vodacom to your desktop. Right click on it and choose "Open With". Choose Ecrypt from there. Your Bill should open now.

3. I am unable to download software, as my company will not allow me to do so?
